Don't take everything verbatim in this particular edition of "Elements Of Style" or you'll be spelling "tomorrow" as "to-morrow". But it's still a good read, and I should have read it years ago - as required by my Prof in English 101. For information purposes - get an updated version. But this first edition is still a lot (not "alot") of fun! ~~ ...
