Morning Prayer.

PSALM 105. Confitemini Domino.

[This Psalm recalls the merciful interpositions of God in behalf of His people to encourage them to continued trust in Him. "O God, we have heard with our ears, and our fathers have declared unto us, the noble works that Thou didst in their days, and in the old time before them." David incorporated the first fifteen verses into his Psalm celebrating the entrance of the Ark into Zion.-1 Chron. xvi. 8.]

O GIVE thanks unto the LORD, and call upon His Name tell the people what things He hath done.

PSALM 106. Confitemini Domino. [This Psalm deals with the same subject as the last Psalm, but approaches it from a different point of view. In Psalm cv. the wonderful works of God were the subject of triumph and praise and joy; here they call forth sorrow and penitence at the unworthy return they met with at the hands of men.]

O GIVE thanks unto the LORD, for He is gracious and His mercy endureth for ever.
