8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven | give good things to them that ask him?

12 Therefore all things whatsoever over ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait ¶ gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree

8 Kyúnki jo koí mángtá hai, letá hai; aur jo koí dhúndhtá hai, pátá hai; aur jo koi khatkhaṭátá hai, us ke liye kholá jáegá.

9 Ayá tum men se kaun shakhs hai, ki agar us ká bețá us se roți mánge, wuh us ko ek patthar dewe?

14 Kyunki chhota hai wuh darwáza, aur tang hai wuh rasta, jo zindagání ko. pahunchátá hai, aur we, jo use páte hain, thore hain.

15 ¶ Jhúthe paighambaron se parhez karo, ki tumháre pás bheṛon kí poshák men áte hain, aur bátin men darinde bheṛiye hain.

16 Tum unhen un ke phalon se pahchánoge. Kyá log kanton se angúr, yá únṭkatáre se anjír hásil karte hain?

17 Usí tarah se har ek achchhá

bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonerful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock :

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth

darakht achchhá phal látá hai; aur nákára darakht burá phal látá hai.

18 Achhá darakht burá phal lá nahin saktá, aur na burá darakht achchhá phal lá saktá hai.

19 Jo darakht achchhá phal nahín látá, káṭá játá, aur ág men dálá játả hai.

20 So tum unhen un ke phalon se pahchánoge.

21 Na har ek, ki mujhe Khuda wand, Khudáwand, kahtá hai, ásmán kí bádsháhat men dákhil hogá; magar wahí, jo mere Báp ke iráde ke muwafiq amal karta hai.

them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his❘ house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine :

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

ek mard i bewaqúf se tashbíh diyá jáegá, jis ne apná ghar retí men banáyá:

27 Aur menh barsá, aur sailáb aye, aur ándhíán chalín, aur us ghar par sadma pahuncháyá; aur wuh gir pará: aur us ká girná azím húá.

28 ¶ Aur jab Psá yih kalám kar chuká, we jamáąten us kí tálím se dang ho gain :

29 Kyunki wuh un ko iqtidárrakhnewále kí mánind, na kátibon ki tarah tálím kartá thá.

ATHWAN BAB.

1 Jab wuh us pahár se utrá, bahut jamaaten us ke píchhe holín.

2 Aur dekho, ki ek korhí ne ákar use sijda kiyá, aur kahá, ki Ai Khudáwand, agar tú cháhe, to mujhe saf pák kar sakta hai. 3 Aur sá ne apná háth lambá karke, us ko chhúá, aur kahá, ki Main to cháhtá hún; tú pák ho já. Aur wohín us ká koṛh sáf játá rahá.

5 ¶ Aur jab sá Kaparnahum men dákhil húá, ek jamadár ne pás ákar us kí minnat kí.

6 Aur kahá, Ai Khudáwand,

vant lieth at home sick of the pal- merá chhokrá ghar men fálij kí sy, grievously tormented. bímárí se bashiddat ązáb men pará hai.

7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.

8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

7 Tab sá ne us ko kahá, ki Main ákar use changá karúngá. 8 Aur us jamádár ne jawáb diyá, ki Ai Ķhudáwand, main is láiq nahín, ki tú mere chhat tale áwe: lekin sirf kalima kah, ki merá chhokrá changá ho jáegá.

9 Kyunki main ek ádmí hún, jo dúsre ke hukm men hún, aur sipáhí mere hukm men hain, aur main ek ko kahta hún, ki Já, aur wuh játá; aur dúsre ko, ki A, aur áta hai; aur apne khádim ko, ki Yih kar, aur wuh karta hai.

10 Tab sá ne sunkar tajjub kiyá, aur un ko, jo us ke píchhe the, kahá, Main tum se sach kahtá hún, ki Main ne aisá bará iątiqád baní Isráil men na páyá.

11 Aur main tum se kahtá hún, ki Bahutere mashriq aur maghrib se áwenge, aur Ibráhím aur Isháq, aur Yaqub ke sáth ásmán kí bádsháhat men baithenge.

12 Par is badshahat ke ye larko bahar andhere men dále jáenge: wahán roná, aur dánt písná hogá.

14 ¶ And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a

chhokrá bas usí gharí changá húa.

14 Aur sá ne Pitras ke ghar men ákar dekhá, ki us kí sás parí húí, aur tap se bímár hai.

15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her and she arose, and ministered unto them. 16 ¶ When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

18 ¶ Now when Jesus saw great multitudes about him, he gave commandment to depart

unto the other side.

19 And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master. I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, inso

23 Aur jab wuh ek kishtí par chaṛha, us ke shágird us ke píchhe ho liye.

24 Aur dekho, ki daryá men is shiddat ká túfán húá, ki kisht
