that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God; and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. REV. ii. 14, 20: But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. do. ix. 20: And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood; which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk.

b1 Cor. vi. 9, 18: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. GAL. v. 19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, EPH. v. 3: But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints. COL. iii. 5: Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 1 THES. iv. 3: For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication. 1 PET. iv. 3: For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries.

C GEN. ix. 4: But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall you not eat. LEV. iii. 17: It shall be a perpetual statute-that ye eat neither fat nor blood. 1 SAM. xiv. 32: The people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with the blood.

d LEV. vii. 26: Ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings. do. xvii. 14: Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whosoever eateth it shall be cut off. do. xix. 26: Ye shall not eat any thing with the blood. DEUT. xii. 16, 23: Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it

21 For Moses of old time 12 hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

22 Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole Church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed 'Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

23 And they wrote letters 13 by them 14 after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting 15 unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia :

24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, 16 saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment :

upon the earth as water. Only be sure that thou eat not the blood for the blood is the life, and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh. do. xv. 23: Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.

e ACTs, xiii. 14, 15, 27: And went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. And after the reading of the law and the prophets.-They that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

fACTS, i. 23: They appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

Ver. 1. GAL. ii. 4: And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage. do. v. 4, 12: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. I would they were even cut off which trouble you. TIT. i. 10, 11: For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth." 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater 18 burden than these necessary things;

29 That ye kabstain from meats 19 offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle : 31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.20

1 ACTs, xiii. 50: The Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men in the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. do. xiv. 19. 1 COR. xv. 30: And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? 2 COR. xi. 23, 26: Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilder ness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren.

REV. ii. 24: But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

32 And Judas and Silas, being "prophets also themselves, "exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed 21 them.

33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

35 PPaul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

A. D. 53. 36 ¶And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
