TABLE XXV IMMIGRANTS ADMITTED TO THE UNITED STATES AND DEPARTING THEREFROM, BY COUNTRIES, YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 1921 The larger percentage of women and children among Jewish immigrants is indicative of the permanent and family character of this immigration, an aspect which is further emphasized by the low percentage of Jewish immigrants departing from the United States. D. JEWISH IMMIGRATION INTO CANADA For a period of twenty-one years, beginning July 1, 1900, the Jewish immigration into Canada was 78,877.
