Evans's Drab Boar's Head Cotton, No. 6; 6 Reels will be required. 5 shades of Scarlet 4-Thread Berlin Wool, 54 skeins; 6 skeins of the lightest, and 12 of each remaining 4 shades, the 2nd lightest shade to be Military Scarlet, the darkest to be deep Claret, and oz. of shaded Green Wool.

The length of this front according to instructions given, will be 49 inches; but if required less, omit 1 row of the Green shaded Wool, or if preferred omit the long stitches of Green altogether, and work a row of D, this will considerably diminish the size; the depth must be regulated according to the size of the Piano, taking care to make it sufficiently long to turn over the Frame neatly.

The work must not be turned, but commence each row afresh. Make a chain the required depth, this will be for the centre piece.
