ROBERT D. BALLARD has earned a worldwide following for his underwater explorations. His discovery of the Titanic in 1985 created headlines around the world and his book The Discovery of the Titanic has sold over one million copies. His other books include Lost Liners, Lost Ships of the Guadalcanal, Titanic: An illustrated history and his autobiography Explorations. KEN MARSCHALL is internationally known for his magnificent paintings of the Titanic which have appeared in such successful books as Inside the Titanic, Exploring the Titanic and On Board the Titanic. Most recently he served as historical adviser to James Cameron on his epic film, Titanic.
