Ricus Smyth capitlis pleg ttast vis de Rokehamp Wymbildon.-Court of the same place held at Puttenhythe, on Thursday next after the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, in the first year of the reign of King Edward the Fourth, after the conquest. Day. And besides a day was given to the said Richard [that is, Richard Sellyng, Esquire] to agree with the lord and his counsel for the trespass in throwing down and carrying away 1000 tallwood [i. e. billets] by him made on the soil of the lord at Estshene, &c. Day. And a day was given to John Lostman and Roger Hervy to agree with the lord and his counsel, because they broke the arrest of the Reeve and Henry Broke, upon the taking and carrying away of 1,000 tallwood, by the said Reeve and Henry at Mortlake arrested, &c.
