WHOSOEVER will be sav-ed: before all things it is necessary that he hold the Catholic

Faith. † Which Faith, except every one do keep whole and unde- fil-ed: without doubt he shall perish ever-lasting-ly.

And the Catholic Faith is this: that we worship one God in Trinity,* and Trinity in { Uni-ty.

Neither confounding the Per-sons: nor dividing the Sub-stance.

For there is one Person of the Father,* another of the Son and another of the Holy { Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,* is all one: the Glory equal, the Majesty co-e- ter-nal.

Such as the Father is, such is the Holy Ghost.

The Father uncreate,* the Son uncre- ate : and the Holy Ghost uncre- ate.

The Father incomprehensible,* the Son incompre-hen-sible: and the Holy Ghost incompre- { hensi-ble.

The Father eternal,* the Son e- ter-nal: and { the Holy Ghost e- {ter-nal.

And yet they are not three e- ter-nals: but one e- {ter-nal.

As also there are not three incomprehensibles,* nor three uncre-at-ed: but one uncreated,* and one incomprehensi-ble.

So likewise the Father is Almighty,* the Son Al- { migh-ty: and the Holy Ghost Al- { migh-ty. And yet they are not three Al- { migh-ties : but one Almigh-ty.

(f) So the Father is God,* the Son is { God : and the Holy Ghost is God.

And yet they are not

God.

So likewise the Father is Lord,* the Son {

Lord and the Holy Ghost { Lord. }

And yet not three Lords: (f) but one Lord.
