This Subfcription to remain open until the first day of May, 1798, and the horses to be named to Mr. James Meek and Mr. Jofeph Gardner, Clerks of the Courfe, on or before that day; and to be the Subfcribers own property at that time. The money to be paid into the hands of Mr. James Meek and Mr. Jofeph Gardner, on the day of entrance preceding the Races, when proper certificates are to be produced, of their age, &c. &c.

Mares to be allowed 2lb. Six Subfcribers, or no Race.

IRST DAY.-A Sweepstakes of 10gs each, p. p.

the time of naming, that never had a fweat, or been trained for Match, Plate, or Sweepstakes, before the first day of May, 1798, and have been regularly hunted the preceding feafon; a certificate whereof to be produced, if required, from the owner of the hounds with which they have been hunted. The horfes, &c. to be named on or before the first day of June, 1798, to Mr. Stringer, Clerk of the Course, at which time this Sweepstakes to close, and the Subfcriptions to be paid to the Stewards before starting, or double afterwards. To carry 12ft. each;-the best of three heats, twice round the Courfe.

SECOND DAY.--A Sweepstakes of 5gs each, p. p. by horfes, &c. to be regularly hunted the preceding feafon; a certificate whereof to be produced, if required. The horfes never to have started for Match, Plate, or Sweepstakes, of the value of 501. to be bona fide the property of Subscribers at the time of naming; to be handicapped the first day of the Race, by a perfon appointed by the Stewards, and to be named to the Clerk of the Course on or before the first day of June, 1798, at which time this Sweepstakes to clofe; and the pedigree, age, qualification, and performance of the horfes, to be declared at the time of entrance.
