A Prayer for Repentance and Pardon. O Gracious GOD, our heavenly
Father, who desirest not the death of a sinner, but rather that he may turn from his wickedness and live; and hast
encouraged us to hope for thy mercy upon repentance, and amendment of life; we desire, with our whole hearts, to return to the obedience of thy commandments : may we from henceforth forsake every evil way; correct whatever is wrong in our temper and conduct ; and delight in the practice of every thing good and virtuous ; that we may obtain from thee, the GOD of all mercy, the forgiveness of our fins; and an inheritance among those who are fanctified. Amen.
