There's not a plant, or flow'r below,
But makes thy glories known;
And clouds arife, and tempests blow,

Creatures (as num'rous as they be)
Are fubject to thy care:

There's not a place where we can flee,
But GOD is present there.

His hand is my prepetual guard,
He keeps me with his eye:
Why should I then forget the LORD,
Who is for ever nigh?

PSALM LXVII.

Univerfal Praife to GOD.
Short Metre.

I.

THY name, almighty LORD,

Shall found thro' diftant lands:

Great is thy grace, and fure thy word: Thy truth for ever stands.

II.

Far be thine honour spread,

And long thy praise endure,

Till morning light, and ev'ning fhade,

Shall be exchang'd no more.

ITH chearful notes let all the earth
To heav'n their voices raife:

WITH

Let all, infpir'd with godly mirth,
Sing folemn hymns of praife.

II.

GOD's tender mercy knows no bound,
His truth fhall ne'er decay:
Then let the willing nations round
Their grateful tribute pay.

Praife to GOD from all Nations.

I.

All ye nations, praife the LORD,
Each with a diff'rent tongue:

In ev'ry language learn his word,
And let his name be fung.

II.

His mercy reigns thro' ev'ry land;

Proclaim his grace abroad:

For ever firm his truth fhall ftand;

Praife ye the faithful GOD.

ROM all who dwell below the skies,
Let the creator's praise arife:

Let the redeemer's name be fung,

Thro' ev'ry land, by ev'ry tongue.

II.

Eternal are thy mercies, LORD; Eternal truth attends thy word:

Thy praife fhall found from fhore to shore, Till funs fhall rife and fet no more.

REAT is the LORD; his works of might
Demand our nobleft fongs :

Let his affembled faints unite

Their harmony of tongues.

II.

Great is the mercy of the LORD,
He gives his children food;
And ever mindful of his word,
He makes his promife good.

III.

His fon, the great redeemer, came
To feal his cov'nant fure:

Our faireft proof of knowledge lies
In hating ev'ry fin.

RAISE ye the LORD; our GOD to praise My foul her utmoft pow'rs fhall raife; With private friends, and in the throng

Of faints, his praife fhall be

His works, for greatnefs tho' renown'd,
His wond'rous works with ease are found
By thofe who feek for them aright,
And in their pious fearch delight.

III.

His works are all of matchlefs fame,
And univerfal glory claim:

His truth, confirm'd thro' ages past,
Shall to eternal ages

IV.

By precept he has us enjoyn'd,

To keep his wond'rous works in mind:
And to pofterity record,

That good and gracious is our LORD,

Common Metre.

1.

HEE I will blefs, my GOD and king,
Thy endless praife proclaim;

This tribute daily I will bring,

And ever blefs thy name.

II.

Thoù, LORD, beyond compare art great,
And highly to be prais'd:
Thy majefty, with boundless height,
Above our knowledge rais'd.

III.

Renown'd for mighty acts, thy fame
To future times extends :
From age to age thy glorious name
Succeffively defcends.

IV.

Whilft I thy glory and renown,

And wond'rous 'works exprefs:

The world with me thy might shall own,
And thy great pow'r confefs.

V.

The praife that to thy love belongs,

They fhall with joy proclaim:
Thy truth of all their grateful fongs

Shall be the conftant theme.
VI.

The LORD is good; fresh acts of grace
His pity fill fupplies:
