TO READERS AND CORRESPONDENTS.

LETTER by an eminent Barrister, under the signature of 'A LAYMAN ZEALOUSLY ATTACHED TO THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND,' which has beIt disfore appeared in print, is preserved in the first pages of this Number. cusses the merits of Mr. Lancaster's Reply to Dr. Marsh, and is entitled to the fullest attention.

W. C..e shall hear from us in our Supplement.

The Biographical Memoir of the late James Brooks, Esq. shall be inserted. Though we have the misfortune to differ very much in our sentiments with our venerable friend ELIHU, yet we shall seek an opportunity of inserting his letter, premising always, that he must strike out such expressions as this--- King Jesus and King George. The first, second, and fourth plates of the Portland Vase accompany the present Number, and the third plate will be given in the Supplement.
