The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, saith the LORD.

Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. 5 Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee: 1by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord GOD. 7TdThus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand.

Even 14 of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe 15 with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

The 17 women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

Arise ye, and depart; for this is not "your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. 11 If a man 21 walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; 'he shall even be the prophet of this people.

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely "gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of "Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

The breaker is come up before them: 23 Or, for. # ver. 1. 24 That is, A lie.
