1714, and the time when any increase in the number of the officers or their falaries was firft made.

In the first establishment, the number of the com-
miffioners was the fame as at prefent, but their
falaries are not mentioned. Their falaries at
the rate of rool. per ann. were placed on the esta-
blishment from 29th Dec. 1714. At 27th June,
1723, the number of the commiffioners was
encreased to 7, and their falaries to 200l. per
ann. each. From 25th Dec. 1730, to 29th Sept.
1736, there were no commiffioners on this efta-
blifhment, their falaries for this period being
wholly placed on the eftablishment of cuftoms.
From 29th Sept. 1736, to 9th Sept. 1742, there
are 7
the eftablishment at
200l. per ann. each, and from this last period,
their number is again reduced to 5, and their
falaries to 100l. per ann. each.

This office allowed falary at the rate of 1001. per
ann. from 25th Dec. 1714, and reduced to Sol.
per ann. from 9th Jan. 1733, by an affiftant
being established from that period at 201. per

ann. taken out of it.

This office only commenced 9th Jan. 1733. The
falary was taken from the comptroller general's
as mentioned above.

A. 1780.

There never has been any falary annexed to this
office, on the establishment, but warrants have
ufually been obtained on the death or refignation
of any receiver general for iool. per ann. during
the time he acted: but the prefent receiver general
has obtained a warrant, dated 29th Nov. 1776, >
for his allowance, and takes credit for it annually
in his accounts.

This office only commenced 24th June, 1732.
The falary of this office increafed to 100l. from
4th May, 1715, and to 130l. per ann. per war-
rant, 7th Sept. 1721.

This office only commenced 15th Nov. 1756.
