own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance; but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.""

"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory, and before him shall be gathered all nations; and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats; and he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand; 'Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was a hungered, and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me ; was in prison, and ye came unto me.' Then shall the righteous answer him, saying; 'Lord, when saw we thee a hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?"

"Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand; Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was a hungered, and ye gave me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not, sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.' shall they also answer, saying; 'Lord, when saw we thee a hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?'

And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples; "Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover; and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified."

And in the day-time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the Mount of Olives. And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

Then assembled together the chief priests, xxvi. 3 and the Scribes, and the elders of the people,

unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiphas; and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. But they said; Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people." Then one Matt. of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto 14-16. the chief priests, and said unto them; " What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you ?"

And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

AND the first day of unleavened bread, when M.xiv. they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him; "Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayest eat the passover?" And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them; Go ye into the city; and 'there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water; follow him; and wheresover he shall go in, say ye to the good-man of the house; The Master saith; Where is the guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?'' a large upper room furnished and prepared; there make ready for us." And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them; and they made ready the passover.

And when the hour was come, he sat down, 14-18. and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them; With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you, before I suffer. For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

And he took the cup and gave thanks, and said; "Take this, and divide it among yourselves. For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come."

And there was also a strife among them, 21-30. which of them should be accounted the greatest. And he said unto them; "The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so; but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. For whether is greater? he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me, that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."

Now before the feast of the passover, when J. xiii. Jesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end; and supper being ended, (the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,) Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; he riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments, and took a towel, and girded himself; after that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter; and Peter saith unto him; "Lord, dost thou wash my feet?"

Jesus answered and said unto him; "What I do thou knowest not now, but thou shalt know hereafter."

Peter saith unto him;

Jesus answered him; "If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

Simon Peter saith unto him; "Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head."

Jesus saith to him; "He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit; and ye are clean, but not all." For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he; Ye are not all clean."
