And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean. But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you. And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not cat; for they are an abomination. Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby. HORN, A PROPHETIC SYMBOL.

Dan, vil, 8, 24. I considered the

horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots; and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall

arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Zech. i, 18, 19, 21. Then lifted I p mine eyes, and saw, and bebold four horns. And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out

the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Gen. xxiv, 35. And the LORD and he is become great: and he hath blessed my master greatly; hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.

Gen. xxvi, 14. For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

Exod. x, 9. And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.
