sincere repentance; to forgive us all our sins, negligences, and ignorances; and to enable us to amend our lives according to thy holy word;

¶ The following Prayers are to be read as they are here placed, except when the Litany is read. When the Litany is read, the three first of the following Prayers are to be omitted. The Prayers to be read by the Minister alone, the Clerk and Congregation saying Amen; all kneeling or standing.

A Prayer for the King.

LORD, our heavenly Father, high and mighty, king of kings, lord of lords, the supreme ruler of princes, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers upon earth; most heartily we beseech thee with thy favour to behold our sovereign king George: and so replenish him with thy grace, that he may alway incline to thy will, and walk in thy way. Endue him plenteously with heavenly gifts; grant him in health and happiness long to live; prosper all his righ

teous undertakings against his enemies*; and, after this life, may he attain everlasting joy and felicity through thy mercy and goodness in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for the Royal Family. ALMIGHTY God, the fountain of all goodness, we humbly beseech thee to bless tall the royal family: endue them with a holy spirit; enrich them with thy heavenly grace; prosper them with all happiness, and bring them to thine everlasting kingdom, which thou hast promised by Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for the Clergy and People. ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who art the author of every good and perfect gift, communicate unto all ministers of the gospel, and unto all congregations committed to their charge, the true knowledge of thy word; and, that they may truly please thee, pour upon them the continual dew of thy blessing.
