2. How will he come?

A. With the Holy Angels attending him?. Matth. xxv. 31. When the Son of Man fhall come in his glory with all the holy Angels with him, then fhall be fit upon the Throne of his glory. 1 Theff. iv. 16. For the Lord himself shall defcend from heaven with a fhout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Chrift fball rife firft. 2 Theff.. i. 7. And to you who are troubled, reft with us, when the Lord Jefus fhall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty Angels. Matth. xxvi. 64. Jefus faith unto him, Thou haft faid: Nevertheless, I fay unto you, hereafter shall ye fee the Son of Man fitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of bea

2. What fhall they do?

A. Gather his Elect and all Mankind before him, Matth. xxiv. 31. And he shall fend bis Angels with a great found of a Trumpet, and they fhall gather together bis elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matth. xxv. 32. And before him shall be gathered all Nations; and be fhall feparate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.

Q. What will he then do?

A. Judge all, 2 Cor. v. 10. For we must all appear before the Judgment-feat of Chrift; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he bath done, whether it be good or bad. Matth. xxv. 34, 41, 46. Then fall the King fay unto them on his right hand, come ye bleffed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundati

on of the World. Then fhall be fay unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye curfed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his Angels. And thefe fhall go away into everlasting punifhment: but the righteous into life eternal. Acts x. 42. And be commanded us to preach unto the people, and to teftifie that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

2. Who are the quick and dead?.

A. They who fhall be then alive, and all that were before dead, 1 Theff. iv. 15, 16, 17. Fir this we fay unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive, and remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them which are afleep. For the Lord himself fall defcend from heaven with a fhout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Chrift fhall rife firft. Then we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and fo fhall we ever be with the Lord, I Cor. xv. 51. Behold, I fhew you a Myfteftery; we fball not all fleep, but we shall all le changed.

I believe in the Holy Ghost.

2. What do ye mean by the Holy Ghost?

A. The third Perfon in the Holy Trinity, Matth. xxviii. 19. Go ye therefore and teach all Nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghoft. 2 Cor. xiii. 14. The Grace of the Lord Jefus Chrift, and the Love of God, and the CommuU 2

2. Why called a Ghost?

A. That is a Spirit, John iv. 24. God is a Spirit, and they that worship him, muft worship him in Spirit and in truth.

2. Why Holy?

A. Because the Fountain and Author of Holinefs in us, 1 Cor. vi. 11. And fuch were fome of you but ye are washed, but ye are fantified, but ye are juftified in the name of the Lord fefus, and by the Spirit of our God. Tit. iii. 5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy be faved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghoft. John ii. 5, 6. Jefus answered, verily, verily, I fay unto thee, except a man be born of water, and of the fpirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh, is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit, is Spirit.

2. How do ye prove him to be God?

A. Acts v. 3, 4. But Peter faid, Ananias, why bath Satan filled thine heart, to lie to the Holy Ghoft, and to keep back part of the price of the land, whiles it remained, was it not thine own, and after it was fold, was it not in thine own power; why haft thou conceived this thing in thine beart, thou haft not lied unto men but unto God. I Cor. iii. 16. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. Matth. xii. 31. Wherefore I Say unto you, all manner of fin and blafphemy fhall be forgiven unto men: but the blafphemy against the Holy Ghaft ball not be forgiven unto men.

A. 2 Pet. i. 21. For the Prophefy came not in old time by the will of man: but boly men of God Spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghoft. 2 Tim. iii. 16. All Scripture is given by infpiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for inftruction in righteousness. Always with us. John xiv. 16, 26. And I will pray the Father, and he fhall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever. Rom. viii. 13, 14. For if ye live after the flesh, ye fhall die; but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the Body, ye fball live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God.

2. What is the Church?

A. The Congregation, or Company, or Body of a faithful People, Acts ii. 41, 42, 47. Then they that gladly received his Word were baptized: and the fame day were added unto them about three thoufand Souls. v. 42. And they continued ftedfaftly in the Apoftles doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. v. 47. Praifing God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the Church daily fuch as fhould be faved. According to the Promife, Mat. xvi. 18. And I fay alfo unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock will I build my Church: and the gates of Hell fhall not prevail againft

2. Is there only one Church?

A. One made up of many, Eph. iv. 4, 5, 6. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one Faith, one Baptifm, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you

all.

Who is the Head of this Body?

A. Chrift only, Eph. i. 22, 23. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Eph. ii. 20, 21. And are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jefus Chrift himself being the chief corner-ftone.
