Mais Dieu s'étant souvenu de Noé, de toutes les bêtes sauvages, et de tous les animaux domestiques qui étaient avec lui dans l'arche, fit souffler un vent sur la terre, et les eaux commencérent à diminuer.

Les sources de l'abîme furent fermées, aussi-bien que les cataractes du ciel, et les pluies qui tombaient du ciel furent arrêtées.

Les eaux étant agitées de côté et d'autre se retirérent, et commencérent à diminuer après cent cinquante jours.

Ainsi l'an de Noé six cent un, le premier jour du premier mois, les eaux qui étaient sur la terre se retirèrent entièrement. Et Noé ouvrant le toit de l'arche, et regardant de là, il vit que la surface de la terre s'était séchée.

Alors Dieu parla à Noé, et lui dit :

Sortez de l'arche, vous et votre femme, vos fils et les femmes de vos fils.

Faites-en sortir aussi tous les animaux qui y sont avec vous, de toutes sortes d'espèces, tant des oiseaux que des bêtes, et de tout ce qui rampe sur la terre : et entrez sur la terre : croissez-y, et vous y multipliez.

Noé sortit donc de l'arche avec ses fils, sa femme, et les femmes de ses fils.

Toutes les bêtes sauvages en sortirent aussi, les animaux domestiques, et tout ce qui rampe sur la terre, chacun selon son espèce.

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged.

The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained.

And the waters returned from off the earth continually : and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

And God spake unto Noah, saving.

Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons's wives with thee,

Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.

And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his son's wiwes with him :

Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their hinds, went forth out of the ark.
