and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

૪૫ અમાટે કે તને આકાશમાંના તભારા બાપનાં ઈ થાઓ કેમકે તે પોતાના શુરજને ભુડા તથા ભલા પર ઊગાવેછે ને શારા તથા નાઠા પર વરશાદ વરશાવશે

46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye do not even the publicans the same?

૪૬ કેમકે જે તમ પર પરેમ કરેછે તે પર ને તને પરેમ કરો છે! તો તમને શું ખ઼ છે ટાંણીઓ પણ શું એનજ નથી કરતા 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

૪૭ ને તે તને એકલા પોતાના ભાઈઓને શલાભ કરાો તો તને વહતું શું કરોછો ટાઁણીએ પણ શું એંનજ નથી કરતા

48 | Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

૪૮ એમાટે આકાશમાંના તમારા બાપ જેવો ચંપુરણ છે તે હેવા તને શંપુરણ થાઓ

CHAP. VI. છુટ્ઠો અધો

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

૧ માઁણુશો દેખે તે શારૂ તેની આગલ તને પોતાનો ધરમ ન કરો માટે ખબરદાર રોહો નહીતો આકાશમાઁના તમારા બાપથી તમને લ નથી.

2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

૨ એમાટે નારે તું ધરન કરેછે તાારે જૈન ઢોંગી શભામાં તથા રતામાં સાઁશોથી વખાણુ પાઁચવાને કરેછે તેમ તું પા

તાની આગલ રણુધડું ન વાડ હું તમને શાચું કહુંઊ કેતેઓ પો તારું પ્લ પાંનેછે

3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

૩ ૫ણ તુંધરન કરેછે તાહાર જે તાહારો જમણેા હાથ કરેછે તે તાહારા ડાબો હાથ ન નણું

4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. ૪ એમાટેકે તાહારો ધરમ ગુપતનાં થાઅને ગુપતનાં દેખનાર તાહારો બાપ પોતે પરગઢમાં તને ખ઼ ભરી આપશે

5 [ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

૫ ને નારે તું પરારથના કરેછે તાહારે ઢોંગીઓના જેહેવો ન થા કાંજે માશા તેને દેખે માટે તેઓ શભામાં તથા રચતા એનાં નાકાં પર ઊભા રહેતાં પરારચના કરવા ચાહેછું હું તમ ને ચાચું કહુંઊં કે તેઓ પોતાનું ક્ષ પાંનેછે

6 Bnt thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

- પણ નારે તું પરારથના કરેછે તાહાર પોતાની ઓરડીમાં પેશ ને તાહારૂં ખાણું બંધ કરીને ગુપતનાંના તાહારા બાપની પરારથના કર ને ગુપતનાં દેખનાર તારો બાપ તને પરગઢમાં ફલ ભરી આપશ

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

૭ ને તમે પરારથના કરતાં પરદેશીઓની પડે અવરથા ન બોલો

કાંજે તેઓ ધારછે કે પોતાના ઘણા બાલવાથી પોતાનું ભલાશે

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

૮ એમાટે તને તેના જેહેવા ન થાઓ કેમકે તને પોતાના ખાપથી નાગા અગાઊ જે જે તમારે ખપ છે તે તેણેને માલુમ છે 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

૯ તેમાટે તમે હેવી પરારથના કરો કે આ આકાશમાંના હુ ભારા બાપ તાહારૂં નાઁન પીતર મનાએ *

10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

૧૦ તાહારૂં રાજ આવે જૈન આકાશમાં તેંન પરથવી પર તા હારી ઇછા થાએ

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

૧૧ હુમારા નીતના રોટલા આજ હુમને આપ

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. ૧૨ ને જૈન હુને હમારા દેવાદારોને ના

તું હુનામાં દેર્યાં હુમને ભાર્ કર

કરીએઇએ તેમ

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

૧૩ ને હુમને પીખશામાં ન લે પણ હુમને જુડાઈથી છોડાવ [કેમકે રાજ તથા પરાકરન તથા નહુના શરવકાલ સુધી તા હારી છે] * આમીન

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;

૧૪ કેમકે તે તમે નાંશોના વાંક તેને ભાર્ કરોછા તો તમારો આકાશી ખાપ તમનઓ ભાર્ કરશે *

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither, your Father forgive your trespasses.

૧૫ પણ તે તમે નાશાના વાંક તેને ભાર્ નથી કરતા તો તમારો બાપ તમારા વાંક પણ નાફ નહી કરશે

16 [ Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

૧૬ વલી ગારે તમે અપવાશ કરાશ તાહારે ટાંગીઆની ખંઢે લેવાઈ ગએલાં નાના ન થાઓ કેમકે લોકોને આપવાથી દે ખાડવા શારૂ તેઓ પોતાનાં નેહાડાં કશાણાં કરેછું હું તમને શાચું કહુંછુä કે તે પોતાનું પ્ણ પાંનછે

. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

૧૭ પણ હું અપવાશ કરેછું તાહારે પોતીકું નાણું ચીકણું કર ને પોતીકું નહોડું ધો

18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

૧૮ એમાટે કે તું નાઁણયાને નહીં પણુ ગુપતનાંના તાહારા બાપને અપવાથી દેખડાવે ને ગ્રુપનાં દેખનાર તાહારો બાપ તને પરગટમાં કુલ ભરી આપશે

19 | Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, | where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

૧૯ પરથવી પર પોતાને સારૂ દોલત એકઠી ન કરો નંહીં કીડા તથા કાટ ખરાબ કરેછે ને બ્તહીં ચારો ખાતર પાડીને ચારેછે

20 Butlay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

૨૦ પણુ તને પોતાને શારૂ આકાશમાં દોલત એકઠી કરો નંહીં કીડા અથવા કાટ ખરાબ નથી કરતા ને નહીં ચારો ખાતર પા ડીને ચારતા નથી.

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

૨૧ કેમકે નંહીં તમારી દોલત છે તાંહાંજ તમારાં ચીત પણ હાથે 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

૨૨ શીરના દીવો આંખ છે એમાટે ને તાહારી આંખ નીરના હોએ તા તાહારૂં આખું શરીર પરકાશ ભરેલું થશે

23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness !

૨૩ પણુ ને તાહારી આંખ ભુડી હાએ તા તાહારૂં આખું શરીર અંધકારે ભરેલું થશે માટે તેંમાં જે અજવાનું છે તે ને અંધકાર હાએ તો તે અંધકાર કેટલા મહાટા

24 | No man can serve two masters: foreither he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

૨૪ કાઈથી બે ધણીની ચાકરી કરાતી નથી કેમકે એકના વેશ તે કરશે ને બીન પર પરેમ કરશ અથવા એકની ગમના તે થશે ને બીજાને તુછુ કરશે [તેમ] દેવની તથા દાલતની ચાકરી તનથી કરાતી નથી

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

૨૫ એમાટે હું તમને કહુંર્ઘઊં કે તમે પેાતાના જીવ શર્મધી શું ખાઈશે ને શું પીશને પેાતાનાં શરીર શસઁધી શું પેહેવીશે [હવી] બહુ ચંતા ન કરો છમ ખારાક કરતાં ને શરીર વતર કરાઁ શું અધીક નથી

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
