Wentworth's Fearnought, B. C. for 100gs. The fame day, carrying 8ft. 7lb. he received a forfeit from Mr. Wentworth 's Fearnought, 8ft. 3lb. The First October Meeting, carrying 8ft. he beat Ld Foley's Spitfire 7ft, 7lb. R. M. for 500gs.

Boudrow is a very fine horse to get coach horses, hunters, &c.

KING FERGUS, at Catterick, in. Yorkshire, at 5gs. the mare, and 5s. the groom.

King Fergus was got by Eclipfe, his dam called Tooting's Polly, and is the dam of Pincher, Pontifex, &c. &c.. -She was got by Black-and-allBlack, he was got by Crab, out of Slamerkin, which was alfo the dain of Duchefs; Polly's dam VOL. XIV.

was called Mr. Blake's Fanny mare, got by Tartar, fire of King Herod, her dam by Starling, grand dam by Flying Childers, great grand dam by Grantham, great great grand dam by Wilkinfon's Barb, which was the dam of Lilliput, out of Sir Ralph Millbank's famous mare, Bald Peg. It justly may be faid, King Fergus is as well bred a horfe as on earth, and as likely to get capital racers, from circumstances, his fire's first and fécond Crofs, Marik, and Regulus, his dam's Crab and Tartar, and is to be obferved were capital runners. Fergus is deemed by all judges who have feen him, a compleat great horfe, his fize and action recommend him as a fuperior stallion to most other horfes, being 16 hands and one inch high, remarkable full of bone, great finew, well fhaped, good fubftance, proportional growth, and free from blemish. He covered two feafons in Ireland, is a fure foal-getter, his stock very large and well fhaped. He was a good runner, though he always appeared in public to difadvantage, being lamed in his trial, and fired at three years old.

KING WILLIAM, got by Herod, at Mr. Jones's, near Langley Church, in Buckinghamshire, at 2gs a mare, and 2s. 6d. the groom.

King William is a beautiful bay horse, 15 hands one inch high, mafter of high weight, and was a capital Racer. He was got by Herod, out of Madcap, which mare was a good runner, and got by Old Snap, her dam by Old Cade, and full fifter to Slouch, and dam of Marianne; grand dam was the Little Hartley mare, got by Bartlet's Childers, and was the dam of Blank, and other capital Racers.

June the 9th, 1780, King William, then three years old, and the property of Mr. A. Smith, won a Sweepstakes at Basingstoke, of 25gs each (9 Subfcribers) beating His Royal Highnefs the Duke of Cumberland's Polydore, John-a-Nokes, Mr. Parker's Match'em colt, and Mr. Kingfman's colt by Nabob. June 16th, he won a Sweepstakes at Stockbridge, of 25gs each (6 Subfcribers) beating Polydore, and Capt. Bertie's own brother to America.- -June the 23d, he walked over the Course at Winchefter, for a Sweepstakes of 10gs each (3 Subfcribers)-October the 2d, he won a Sweepfakes at Newmarket, of 400gs, beating John-aNokes, Ld Clermont's Florus, and Mr. Vernon's Fox.-In 1781, then rifing four years old, he run for the Fortefcue Stakes at Newmarket, and fell lame; notwithstanding, he beat Ld Clermont's Occulator, Capt. Bertie's Urtica, and D. of Bolton's Commis, and has never ftarted fince. This is the first year of his covering.

Langley is two miles from Colnbrook, and four from Windfor.

Good grafs, and proper care taken of the mares. The money to be paid before the mares are taken away.

To prevent mistakes, there is another King William, got by Florizel.

MAGNET, at 5gs each mare, and 1os. 6d. the fervant, at the Green Farm, near Wakefield Lodge, Northamptonshire.

He was got by King Herod, his dam by Blank, his grand dam by Old Childers, which mare was own filter to Old Snip, Black Legs, &c. and the dam of Old Crab.

Any gentleman, or other, who fends a mare to him, may depend on the greatest attention-being given to them, and grafs on very good land,at the ufual prices.

ORPHEUS, (own brother to Duchefs, out of Cal liope, and got by Le Sang, which was out of the late Mr. Fenwick's Duchefs,) at Mr. Thomas Burdon's, at Stainton-Vale, near Yarm, in Cleveland, Yorkshire, at 10gs a mare, and half a guinea the groom.

Good grafs for mares, and the greatest care taken of them.

PHENOMENON, the property of Sir John Lifter Kaye, Bart. will cover fifty mares (befides thofe of his owner) and no more, at Mr. Glenton's, Boroughbridge, Yorkshire, at rogs each mare, and ros. 6d. the groom.

He was got by King Herod, his dam by Eclipfe. For his pedigree further, and his performances, fee the Racing Calendar for the e years 1784, and

1785.

Gentlemen who think proper to fend their mares, are defired to fignify the number of them, directed to Mr. Glenton, or Mr. George Fother. gill, at Grange, near Wakefield, Yorkshire.

All demands for covering, grafs, &c. must be fully fatisfied before the mares are taken away.

N. B. All mares, producing a certificate of their having won three Plates or Sweepstakes, will be covered gratis, giving the fee to the fervant.
