PROMOTIONS.

Tenth Regiment of Infantry.

Second Lieutenant James H. Hill, to be first lieutenant, February 27, 1861, vice Kelly, resigned.

Brevet Second Lieutenant George W. Vanderbilt, of the Ninth Infantry, to be second lieutenant, February 27, 1861, vice Hill, promoted. The nomination here made, of Brevet Second Lieutenant Vanderbilt, is intended as a substitute for that made of him on the 26th instant, to be 2d lieutenant in the Third Infantry, February 28, 1861, he being entitled to the earlier date of promotion consequent on Lieutenant Kelly's resignation.
