Jennifer Weiner is one of my all-time favorite authors, and this is my favorite book of hers. It annoys me a little that it's listed as "chick lit" as opposed to the more accepted genre of "women's fiction." It's not about "chicks" worried about snagging a husband or a pair of Manolo Blahniks--it's about grown women with adult lives. And JW's writing is wonderful, the kind of book you'd absolutely want on a sick day when you're feeling sorry for yourself and the Campbell's Chicken Noodle just isn't cutting it. I highly recommend this book.
